NHS North Staffordshire & South Staffordshire Primary Care Trust (PCT)

NHS North Staffordshire| and South Staffordshire PCT| work to make sure that the best healthcare services are available. Their websites have lots of of useful information on local healthcare services.

NHS Direct

The NHS Direct| website provides medical information, including an expert telephone advice line, a self-help guide, a symptom checker and a useful A-Z health encyclopedia.

NHS Direct also offers support over the phone.

New Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Partnership Trust

UK’s largest integration of local council and NHS care services has been given the green light.

The new partnership between Staffordshire County Council and the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Partnership Trust aims to deliver easier to understand and efficiently delivered health and social care. Nearly 1000 social care staff and a budget of £153 million transfer from Staffordshire County Council to the new trust.

When the Partnership Trust is fully integrated in April 2012, it will be responsible for all adult social and community healthcare within Staffordshire and all community healthcare in Stoke-on-Trent, delivering everything from physiotherapy to day opportunities.
