Avoiding Accidents
Falls are one of the most common and serious problems faced by older
people. Around 30% of over 65’s living in the community will fall each year.
Most falls don't result in serious injury, but if it does the consequences can be a real problem. People could:

lose some movement, and independence,

lose their confidence.
This can lead to people feeling lonely and isolated and lead onto worse problems.
But there are things you can do to help reduce the chances of a fall happening.
