  Avoiding Accidents

Falls are one of the most common and serious problems faced by older''  people. Around 30% of over 65’s living in the community will fall each year. 

Most falls don't result in serious injury, but if it does the consequences can be a real problem.  People could:

  • lose some movement, and independence,  
  • lose their confidence. 

This can lead to people feeling lonely and isolated and lead onto worse problems.

But there are things you can do to help reduce the chances of a fall happening.
