What to do if you suspect abuse

Don't worry.  We'll make sure that the situation doesn't get worse for the abused person, and that you won't be affected.

Even if you have just a suspicion, please report it.  You could save someone's life.

What will happen?

It depends on how serious it is.  Trained staff will carry out a careful and sensitive enquiry.  Any information you give us will be discussed with other agencies concerned with the wellbeing and protection of vulnerable adults.

We'll work together to make sure that if you report abuse, the situation won't get any worse.
